  1. Hi Alex! I was wondering if you have any good low/no damage hairstyles for work to keep hair back. I think my elastic hair ties are getting to be a bit harsh for everyday. Also, did you ever come up with a perfume recipe? My mom really loves the smell of roses and wants a natural perfume that will last all day. She considered just buying rosewater to spritz with, kind of like your body spray recipe, but would prefer something stronger/more lasting like a true perfume. So I just wanted to see if you found or made anything similar that you like! Thanks!

  2. Hey Alex! I’m a big fan of your work and really appreciate the information you provide to all of us! Thank you so much ๐Ÿ™‚

You inspired me to go ROM a couple months ago and I have an issue I can’t solve. After a rinse, my hair gets this dull, waxy film that I actually can brush out when my hair is dry with my BBB. It’s literally on the wooden sides of the BBB and it’s VERY sticky. My hair also feels really tangly, waxy and dull during this period. It takes a couple days of brushing and oil from my scalp to build up to get all of the coating off. Any ideas for me? I do have fairly hard water and have wondered if it’s that… But I also have a shower filter. Any insight you can provide would be great! Thank you!

  3. How do you get your eyes to be lined the way you do? I’ve seen you comment that you smudge your mascara to create that effect… But it’s so perfect looking. How do you do it?

  4. My question is about facial hair! Ew.. but I’m really wondering what you use if you use anything to remove it because I’ve tried every natural recipe online and they just don’t work for me. Could you maybe recommend something? Thanks Alex this blog saved my life!

  5. Hello! I have dyed my hair cherry red for 5 years and then I found your blog 3 months ago and I’ve been no-poo and trying to make natural products ever since (thank you for that ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ) but now I really don’t intend to dye my hair chemically again so I tried dyeing it with henna, which only colored it a bit more orangey than it already was and didn’t do much too my roots, could you tell me how to use henna properly or any other thing that will dye my hair as red as possible?
    Thanks, love your blog ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Love your blog, thanks for all you do!

I have been no poo for a year and a half. I’ve tried going ROM, but the most I can go between a no poo wash (I’ve done baking soda, Castile soap, and currently just made my first soapnut shampoo, all followed with either apple cider vinegar or lemon rinse) is 7 days… My issue is dandruff… I try to scritch and preen but I feel it makes my hair too oily and I can’t go as long in between washes. I usually end up braiding my hair, which is down to my waist. I probably don’t moisturize often enough… When I do moisturize I use Ragan oil on the bottom half oft hair. Any suggestions? I’d love some tips!!!
    Thank you so much!!!
