Nice post! Let’s not forget our precious men 😉
I’d love to hear from any men who try this great sounding shave cream (or maybe Alex you can answer my question). My husband has rejected the store-bought non-toxic ones in the past because they “disappear” on his skin and he finds he can’t tell where he’s shaved or not shaved the same way he can with old fashioned “white” shave cream. This looks like it might work like the old-style stuff and that would be great but before I make it, I’d like to know that there’s a chance of it meeting my husband’s criteria! Thanks much.
Hi. I’ll answer my own question here. I went ahead and tried this and it’s the first “natural” shaving cream my husband agreed to use. The advantage of Alex’s recipe to my husband is that it remains white and visible as he’s shaving. So, he’s able to tell where he’s been and where he needs to go. He said he’d give it a score of 85% for functionality (compared to the toxic canned stuff which would get 100% for functionality) but of course it gets a higher rating overall since it’s not the least bit toxic. (As a point of reference, anything natural he’d tried previously he gave a failing grade.) So, thank you Alex for coming up with a clever recipe that eliminates one more toxic product from my husband’s body. It’s a nice bonus that you’re using products that we stock anyway!
